The Szekszárd wine region with its famous wines and fresh air and picturesque landscape win not only the wine lovers’ hearts but everyone who craves for peace and harmony.

Szekszárd is defining region of Hungarian red wine production. During Turkish times, vine growers escaping from the south to the north, from the Szerémség region and the Balkans, brought the Kadarka variety and the red vine culture.
To date, the wine region is still famous for its Kadarka, but its leading wine has become the Blue Franc (Kékfrankos), which is also the base wine for Szekszárd's Bikavér (Bull's Blood). In addition to the two Hungarian varietes, international varietes are also widespread, og whicch Merlot and Cabernet sauvignon can be hihglighted. Full-bodied, concentrated, deep-coloured wines, worthy of comparison with the top international red wines are made from them.
Other wines worth mentioning include the increasingly popular, excellent rosés and the once mass produced 'siller' wines. The latter have a deeper colour, they are aged longer and possess more red wine notes. Out of respect for tradition and the desire to experiment, more and more winemakers are once again starting to work with this type of wine.
Our winery makes all the most popular Hungarian wines: cabernet sauvignon, kadarka, bikavér (bull’s blood), olaszrizling (Italian riesling), merlot, chardonnay, tramini, kékfrankos (blaufränkisch).
Besides traditional wine tasting we can offer our guests entertaining events, delicious meals, Finnish saunas and comfortable accommodation to make their stay pleasant and memorable.
Wines for every season
The winery’s oldest wine, the Bikavér (Bull’s Blood) 1995 has everything that a good, archaic wine needs. It’s based on kékfrankos (Blaufränkisch) merlot, cabernet sauvignon and kadarka and tastes like ripe, mellow fruit.
Cabernet Sauvignon Barrique 2003 is a real wine speciality. In Brussels International Wine Contest “Monde Selection” a gold medal was awarded to Fekete Borpince for this rich, full body, but smooth wine.
Tramini Cuvée 2008 is a straw yellow white wine made from overripe grapes. Tasting this late harvested, sweet, muscatel flavoured wine is like sipping spring itself.
